Which Linux distribution is the easiest to use?

Q. I want to give Linux a try. Which Linux distribution is the easiest to use and most friendly to novice Linux users? I want something that works with minimal setup, for tasks like surfing the web, email, playing and burning CDs, playing DVDs, etc.

Which one should I get?
Thanks for the info and the link. That website recommend Ubuntu, Mandriva, OpenSuse, and Linux Mint.

A. Take a look at Linux Mint 6 which I can thoroughly recommend and runs pretty much 'out of the box'.

You download the ISO. image of Linux Mint 6 then you need to create a Bootable CD from the ISO. This can easily be done using Brasero/Nero Burning ROM or similar software. Linux Mint 6 can be run straight from the LiveCD you have created without touching your Hard Drive.

Q. I want to find a linux distribution which support the computer below 128mb RAM, even 64MB RAM, easy to install, and support USB devices.

So, which Linux is the best for my requirement?
The "USB devices" I means is the Linux Distribution have the built-in device driver for some USB devices.

A. I thoroughly recommend Linux Mint 6 Main Edition which is Ubuntu based. Its easy to install and easy to use plus it comes with much of the software you are likely to need preinstalled.

You would be best off RUNNING IT LIVE so you can get the feel of things.
