Q. I'm able to run Minecraft and login but after it loads it just force quits and gives me hs_err_pid3992 file. It doesn't even reach the Mojang logo.
A. Try downloading the Linux version of Minecraft. On the Minecraft website go to download now and click show all platforms then under Minecraft for Linux/ Others click Minecraft.jar.

A. if you are going to run a server use Linux
do not use a Windows based PC for any server --- i know you are not i just wanted to point that out
but really if it's a server you want to run you can use Linux and it will be amazing esp if its a built in program by the game

Q. I love to play minecraft but my windows won't cut it. I want to use my Linux but I can't run with Java. Which Java do I need to get to do this. Also a separate program to run it with would be fine. The other problem is that sometimes it says that it had an error when trying to install stuff like java. Please help. Thanks.
