How to make minecraft run faster On Linux Netbook?

Q. Ok so i have a Asus netbook thats running linux. (Latest Ubuntu) And its a basic netbook Intel Atom 1.66 Ghz processor and i turned down all the video settings and such. But is there a way i can make it run like 20 fps atleast? cause i only get under 5 fps when i play.

A. There are a few things you can do to increase speed:
1. Disable compositing in Compiz, or use a lightweight WM like OpenBox
2. Install optifine.
3. Update Java and LWJGL
4. Use a skyblock map - On a similar netbook I get literally no lag on a skyblock. I recommend AnewAaron's Skyblock Adventure here: http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/1325290-surv-adv-skyblock-adventure-v12-13/
5. Give minecraft more memory, depending on how much you have. I upgraded my ram on my netbook, so I have 2 gb. It all depends on how much you have.
Google is your friend with these.

How do I play minecraft on a logitech computer?
Q. it's a small little black computer that uses certain programs. And I don't know how to play minecraft on it. I would recommend searching it up first so you know what type of computer i'm talking about.

A. .:Paid Edition:.
As a Linux/Mac Operating System (OS) download the "minecraft.jar" launcher.
(Note: on Linux make sure you right-click the "minecraft.jar and go to the Permissions tab and select "Allow Executing file as Program")
As Windows Operating System download the "Minecraft.exe" launcher.

When you have done that run the launcher and login. After you do that it should download the ".minecraft" game folder you will need to play. After it is done updating it will launch the game and you will be able to play Minecraft.

.:Pirated Edition:.
Lookup "anjocaido's minecraft launcher" on Google and Download the launcher. After you have successfully downloaded the cracked launcher, launch it and it will update your version of Minecraft so you can play it like all the others.

*Also make sure you have the most updated version of Java or you may run into some problems*

How do you get minecraft on the wii?
Q. Hello everyone, I read that minecraft was added to the wii on July of this year, and was wondering how you get it? I've been looking but I can't find it anywhere on the store.

A. You have been SERIOUSLY MISINFORMED here.

Minecraft is only available on the following devices...

* Mac / Windows / Linux PC (Standard Version)
* XBox 360 (XBLA Version)
* iOS / Android devices (Pocket Version)

There's is NO Wii version available for a couple of reasons.

1) Core Size -- The core files on the PC version is around 50 MB's. XBLA version is around 120 MB's

Nintendo has set the size limit on digital games (WiiWare & VC titles) to only 40 MB's (320 Blocks)... which is too small for Minecraft to fit.

2) World Size -- On average, each world takes up 25 MB's / KM^2 explored. Since the Wii only has 512 MB of internal space... closer to 256 MB's of usable space (after taking out all the IOS's, save files & other digital downloads)... You would only be able to explore around 9 KM^2 before you run out of storage space.

PC's & the 360 have HDD's that are larger & therefore can support larger worlds.

3) Hardware limitations -- While the Wii can do a lot, it doesn't have the same technical specs nor capabilities that PC's have. The RAM in the Wii itself is just barely enough to run Windows XP (Not Vista or 7), to put things in perspective.

Minecraft (or Java, to be specific) wants 1 GB of RAM to run, which the Wii doesn't even have a tenth of that covered.

If you're absolutely obsessed on running Minecraft on your Wii, you'll have to take the homebrew route by installing a Wii-friendly version of Linux onto your Wii's SD card, get Java installed within the Linux environment & run the standard version of Minecraft though it.

HOWEVER, with everything that I noted above, you'll most likely won't get Minecraft to run. If by some case of improbability, it'll likely be unplayable with a framerate of practically 0 fps (something like 0.001 fps, but for all purposes, it'll be taken as 0 fps).

I know this isn't the answer you're looking for, but it's the harsh truth that you'll have to live with.
